Waney Edge - or ‘natural edge’ - Larch cladding makes for an impressive rustic finish to any building project.
The boards are cut to incorporate one straight and one natural edge. They are designed to be installed horizontally with around a 45mm (2 inch) overlap. The Larch heart wood is naturally durable, the sap wood is less durable and so will eventually rot away if not protected by oil or other treatments. When installing these boards, make the overlap just enough so that once the pale sapwood band has rotted away, there is still heartwood larch board behind it. This will ensue that no gaps emerge in your wall over time.
Each board varies in width but are generally between 150mm - 225mm wide.
Length: 2.4m, 3.6m, 4.8m
Thickness: 22mm rough sawn, or 19mm planed
Finish: Off-saw OR planed on one face
